McDowell Legacy Program: Interview with Frank Dean

Frank Dean's father was in the automobile business during the 1940's and 1950's. Frank recalls working at his father's dealership and the valuable lessons he learned there. Frank also remembers his first experience of working in a cottom mill at age fifteen. Frank volunteered to go into the Army during the time that Vietnam was raging and ended up serving his country for 29 years. Frank has also spent many years in the Rotary Club and working with Rotary International and the Wheelchair Foundation, and has taken containers of wheelchairs to other countries. Frank has served, and continues to serve, as an active member of the McDowell Trails Association, and has been instrumental in McDowell County having it's own greenway.
