Colonial Pipeline Ceremony for Cobb Safety Village
Colonial Pipeline recently held an opening ceremony for its Cobb Safety Village demonstration storage tank. Colonial Pipeline paid the Safety Village Foundation $25,000 for the site and invested more than $200,000 in the building, which is a replica of a gasoline storage tank. It contains a built-in floor diorama, interactive safety games and an informational video. The site also provides information on underground pipeline safety and "call before you dig" information.

This addition to the Safety Village will help enhance school children and residents' safety education. The Safety Village is located at 1220 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta.

TCID Groundbreaking of Noonday Creek Trail
The Towncenter Community Improvement District recently held a groundbreaking for a new phase of the Noonday Creek Trail. TV23 was there for the festivities and spoke with Cobb Board of Commissioners Chairman Tim Lee.

Cobb County's Web site Wins A+ Sunny Award
Recently, Cobb County's Web site was honored with an A+ Sunny Award for transparency and open government. We met with Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens and Cobb Chairman Tim Lee to discuss Sunshine Laws and the Sunny Award.

Powder Springs Station Renovation
Powder Springs Station, the government annex on Powder Springs Road, has been renovated and occupied by Cobb County government departments like Community Development and Property Management for the past two years. Now the last of its tenants has moved in.here's more on this story.

DOT Hosts CCT Groundbreaking
