Introduction of Odyssey Of the Mind students, National Anthem, and Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Quill recognized Councilor Camardo for the purpose of introducing special guests attending the meeting. Councilor Camardo introduced the elementary school students that will be heading to the Odyssey of the Mind 2014 World Finals May 28 - May 31 at Iowa State University. Two teams from Auburn will be heading to the competition. The Owasco School fourth grade team includes students Ella Carnes, Katie Ferris, Rylee Hastings, Abbie Izzo, Kate Izzo, Anna Montgomery, and their coach John Carnes. The Seward School 5th grade team includes Tatia Axton, Anthony Camardo, Liam Gargon, Connor Gasper, Seamus Greene, Kara Lockhart, Jenna Sliwka, and their coach Carol Soules. Public Be Heard Each week members from the public have the opportunity to address the City Council. The 'Public to be Heard' section of the meeting is held at the beginning of the weekly meeting. The guidelines for 'Public to be Heard' are as follows: Residents are asked to state their names and address for the record; all comments should be addressed to the Council as a whole and concern issues involving the City Council, City Government, or matters of General City concern; residents should be prepared to limit their remarks to 3 minutes or less; and, all speakers before the City Council will observe commonly accepted rules of courtesy and decorum. Web Site Presentation The City Clerk presented to the Council the City's new website. The site www.AuburnNY.gov has received an upgrade and many new features.
